Spring is just around the corner! ‘Tis the season for new life, rejuvenation, and a much-needed home care treatment. A common misconception about home maintenance is that it has to be expensive and it has to be performed by licensed professionals. It’s YOUR HOME. If there’s anyone who’s going to take care of your home in the best way possible, it’s you. Here are three of the easiest spring prep things you can do.
- Clean water outlets such as faucets and shower heads
This is by far, the easiest thing to do on this list. You simply have to unscrew any sink sprayers, faucet aerators, and shower heads, and soak them in a solution of equal measurements of water and vinegar for an hour.
- Scrub your walls thoroughly
This doesn’t just mean your walls. You need to scrub your walls in everything room. But you also need to scrub your baseboards and outlet covers. Use a sponge or a brush and a water-and-mild-soap solution. Also, don’t forget to dry your outlet covers before reinstalling them. Unless electric shock is something you look forward to.
- Clean Outdoor Furniture
As spring arrives, you’re going to spend more time outdoors of your house. So, it only makes sense that you take the time to clean any outdoor furniture you have. Spring season translates to backyard barbeques and front porch stargazing. It’s the perfect area to enjoy the breeze, the Sun, and the stars.
